Social Forest has been designed to engage in a social cause. It is more than just a tree-planting project. It is the foundation of a social movement against poverty. We have the knowledge, commitment, and technology to transform the environment and the lives of millions of people. The key is our willingness to extend a helping hand in order to achieve this transformation.
Children aren't being taught how to interact with nature- they don't grow up seeing the cycle of life, they are not being encouraged to do projects and most of all they are unable to break out of the cycle in which they find themselves. Creating a feeling of community through social forestry is the key to show people what sort of world they will inherit, and by giving them the tools and education to understand how to make their own changes.
Things can't change immediately it takes time to happen, so the
best time to think about nature is right now.
